Our Story
Our founder:
Jennifer Kingdon brings over 20 years of experience in education and counselling to her support services. She is an OTC teacher and a counsellor. Jennifer has a BA in education and child studies and a MDiv in counselling. She has additional training in Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
Jennifer has worked as a classroom teacher and a family counsellor. She has worked with individuals diagnosed with ADHD, learning disabilities, gifted, acquired brain injury, intellectual disabilities, autism, Tourette syndrome, anxiety and depression. Her authenticity has deepened throughout her experience in raising her own neurodiverse child.
Jennifer has extensive experience working with complex cases, often with more than one diagnosis. Her clients benefit from her professionalism, compassion, breadth of experience, innovative strategies and insightful assessments. Jennifer’s genuine, warm demeanour is engaging. She has helped countless clients gain confidence, build new skills and achieve new accomplishments in their lives.
Member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), Vocational Rehabilitation Association (VRA), Ontario Teachers College (OTC), Ontario Rehab Alliance (ORA), and Health Claims for Auto Insurance (HCAI). She is also involved with the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program (CDTRP), assisting with research and policy development.
Kingdon and Associates has been in business for 20+ years. Many clients have successfully completed post-secondary education, going on to find meaningful employment and meet other life goals.

Our supervised associates include highly qualified academic strategists that specialize in high school and university level business, math and science tutoring, as well as an in house registered Speech Therapist (SLP) who consults and provides SLP assessment and support services.
